Annoyed

Yes you guessed it a new blog and Im going to moan.

Most of you might have know that yesterday I was supposed to be having my driving test well it snowed and it was canceled. I was gutted after getting into the mental state wednesday evening for it and then waking up thurs morning full of nerves to open the window to find a blanket of the white stuff my heart sank. So today I got a letter through the post saying my new test date is 22/03/2007. Thats right another month and a half away. So I am fuming because I do not really have the money unless I either get a full time job soon or resort to picking up another temp job to pay for the lessons. It also means that jobs I was hoping to apply for that require a driving licence will be closed and there is no guarantee that I can pass first time.

My only hope is that someone will cancel between now and then so I can get an earlier date.

Im Free!!!!!

As you all get excited that I am posting another blog and my many readers will be able to sleep again as I bring you news on what's going on. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people (Not that you know it) who gave me advice on this matter. Just talking to different people (mainly yesterday) has helped me a lot. So thanks, even tho I am not sure you know who you are!!!!

So as you all wait and scream wanting to know what has happened that I am so thankful for.....

Well Keeping you all in suspense a little longer...........

I have decided to leave my Temp Job. Now most of you are proberly saying that you didn't give me advice when if fact a large number of people did!!!! So basically most of yesterday I was dreading about going into work so much so that I got myself worked up on the bus home. So when I got in I was able to express these concern with my parents which didn't really do anything. Last night I didn't sleep much i kept tosssing and turning and churning in my mind what I should do I also prayed a lot and all I kept thinking was that I had to get out of the job and so after discussions with my parents this morning (They were anxious cause they could sense that I wasn't happy) which I wasn't I told the Home office that this friday would be my last.

Its a big step cause it now leaves me with no source of income so I would appreciate your prays as I look for a job that I would find enjoyable and challenging but also one that will enable me to move over to kingston once I have saved a bit.

I know its the right Decision because I feel much happier and to be honest looking back I was only staying at the home office because I was getting into good gospel chats with two guys.

So I have four more days of linking paper to files them I free.

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Wow how time has flown by, we are already 10 days in 2007. First things first is to wish everyone a belated Happy New Year ( Someone posted a letter in the metro last week asking when is the best time to stop saying Happy New Year) I reckon its about now. Anyway what did everyone do for new years? I after a lot of plans being changed and doing this that and the other I ended up going up London with Antony. We stood on Westminster Bridge after finding a bar earlier to watch an amazing fireworks display. Its a cool experience and one that thousands of other people undertake so I am defo ganna be up there next year hopefully with a bigger group.

Since then I have had my ups and down which have all really been based around this weekend well Friday until now. Last Saturday my Grandma passed away. This was a very sad time for the family but we can have the comfort that she has gone to be with her Lord, My Lord. I was able to go and See her on Friday and that was very heart breaking, knowing that would be the last time that I would see her.
However On Sunday I was able to go and worship God and learn about the how Jesus can offering us the water of life knowing that my Grandma has received that. In the evening I was also able to go up and celebrate in Mayfair with other Co-Missions churches a service which I have always enjoyed and its great been able to worship God with so many people. After the service we went out for a meal together which again was good and the company was just what I needed even though sometimes I was a little spaced out. Also cool cause Mr Hoffman was there visiting from America.

On Tuesday I finally graduated. It was a very nice occasion one that I had been dreading but It turned out to be cool. I will try and post some pictures once I transferee them from my Camera to my Computer then to this one. It was an early start and I made my way up to the barbican fully suited out only to get to London Bridge to find out that they were not allowing people on the northern line and didn't know how long it would be. So being a geographer I set of using a poor map and tube stops I walked to the Barbican. The ceremony it self lasted about 2 hours with over an hour of people walking up on the stage to graduate. I was near the back of the queue graduating with the joint honors rather than the people who I sat my course with. It was good to meet up with them. Afterward I spent time in London before going out for a meal in the eveing with the whole family to a restaurant in covent Garden called potters a nice way to end a cool day.

Today was a rubbish day at work I have been shoved of to another team in a completely different building to the rest of my old team to shove paper all day long. Just when I felt part of the team and got on well with them all. Im annoyed for a few reason but mainly because I was having good conversation with a Jehovah witness now these are ganna have to be limited to meet up after work for a drink ECT. I won't dwell into that much as the story is longer than I can be bother to write or type but Its probably going to signal the end of my time at the home office within the next few weeks because Im dreading going into work as I did not do a degree it linking paperwork to files all days long and get treated like rubbish. The decsions has been comming and the events over the last few days have really pushed me towards it. Out of kindness im going to try and stay there whilst one of the AA's go on holiday so I do not leave them short staffed but then I will really think about leaving (I just need to work my parent around to my way of thinking) another downer of living at home if ya know what I mean.

I have loads of thing planned but still have loads of free time so if people are free in the eveings then let me know and maybe we can arrange to go out for a drink or something. I know the new rocky film is coming out and so a cinema trip might be planned.

Happy New year

I hope everyone have had a great Christmas. I had an enjoyable time but have been back at work the last few days and there has been nought to do. Imagine the scene 8 AA's sitting at there desks doing little to no work. So I have decided to write this blog entry and email it back home to post..........

As promised here is My year Review of 2006

Well 2006 have been an enjoyable year. As most years there has been the ups and down and moments which I have not enjoyed yet other parts which I have loved. So here is my year review outlining some of my personal highlights from 2006 in a month by month review.

Jan-

I brought 2006 in a new years party down in Weymouth. This was the biggest fancy dressed party that I have seen as the whole town was filled with different people wearing different items of clothing's. This had to be one of the better new years celebration I have been involved in. January also saw the completion of my first semester of the final year finishing one of the hardest modules I had to undertake Engineering geology and Hydrogeology. It also saw the beginning of my final ever semester at University.

Other things I did in Jan:-
* Watched the Jungle Book up in London
* Watched Crystal palace play (A rare occasion which I would like to do more)
* Annual Co-mission celebration in London- A great evening spent with other churches in the Co-mission
(the group of churches that my church belongs to)

Feb

This was a month with not much going on except the usual stuff that I encountered at uni- coursework deadlines, Dissertation write up and CU meetings. The only thing worth mentioning was the delight that I had secured two B's and a E in my first semester. I was so pleased especially after the previous year and being diagnosed with mild dyslexia

March

March saw my first time in a Nightclub (That's right it took me unto my final year to make it to a nightclub, How boring was I!!!!!) well not exactly..... I had negative images of nightclubs but that were quashed on the 1st
of march, now I think they are a great laugh. March also enabled me to enjoy my first Indian thanks to a b'day meal for Antony. I am not a fan of spice but was able to enjoy a mild curry. March also saw church putting on a few events with John Blanchard coming to speak which turned out to be an excellent night as well as a number of baptism a week later. (Always a great encouragement hearing peoples testimonies) March also involved the obvious stuff of Uni work, CU stuff and going to the pub ect

April.

Dissertation, Dissertation and more Dissertation. The 26th brought the deadline day for my final year project and I spent most of the time working towards this (including the Easter break!!!). A great feeling
when I got it completed. Others things were going to Hampton fair with Ade and a few others. I
have never seen someone so scared of the haunted house!!!!. We where also able to hold a BBQ at 36 SHP which was a great evening and a nice way to relax after the manic's of doing the dissertation. Another
highlight was playing a game of pool with Sim and Dave Bixby and this guy from the Pub. A highlight cause this bloke seemed to be playing all the time yet paying very little of the games, a master of avoiding paying (Tips learnt from this guy!!!!)

May

The relief of finishing my University degree. This month saw the rush of completing coursework with the usual end of teaching deadline rush as well as the revision for my two finals (Evolving Earth and Geography of
recreation and tourism). I ended the degree completing an open test on igneous and metamorphic petrology (Rocks!!!) The test was fairly easy as you can imagine of a open book test. The degree taught me loads of stuff
and I had the privilege of being able to study God's amazing creation in a lot of details. May also saw the may Merrie an event in which the church promotes the Holiday club which started at the end of the month.
Another Highlight was going to a hog roast put on by a member of the church. I remember being confident about knowing where I was going yet getting us lost (well not knowing the exact location of the pub) and
having Jeff (An American) driving us back (The nervous tension that was in Ali's car!!!)

June
A great month. Firstly the holiday club with a Narnia theme (So much there to be thankful to God for) an enjoyable time had by both Kid's and leaders. I was able to be more involved in this holiday club and job
permitting will be looking to be involved in the next. Oh yea the dramas where amazing. Secondly was my Trip to France with Chris, Jonathan, Jess and Anne. I can sum this up by the fact that I was a nervous before I went yet I had the best time ever and didn't want to come back. We did so much and had so much fun yet we were all able to relax, we got the right mix for a holiday. Thirdly there was Revive. A church weekend away. An amazing time of fellowship and teaching with my church family. I learnt so much on the topic of Heaven and hell. There was also place
for some fun. Water fights firstly against Chris and Helen with Matt Morant by my side at the line dancing and then involving other people before getting soaked by Ali and Anne but reflecting revenge. Finally the pleasure of watching England Play with people down the pub and sharing the joys and pains that come with watching the national side play football. This month also involved a summer bbq at Katie's and Hannah (I remember getting brain freeze during a game of pass the parcel involving dares) and cheating at every game they set us to do (However an enjoyable
time). June also brought the Sad month that most Junes do bring when our American friends leave to go back to the USA. We were able to have parties for them which got everyone together. As you can see June was a busy month.

July.

Again in July Numerus things went on. Firstly I received my Results. On the 7th July I had the nervous wait until 12.00 to receive them. The minutes seem to drag on as I waited from about 8.00 (could not sleep anymore) till 12.00. It can be fair to say that I was nervous but I managed to wait after the two minuet silence before going to log onto
blackboard. The joy at passing and getting a 2:2 was there. Going to spoons to celebrate Friday nite with my house and a few others was a great way to celebrate. The magic BBQ was a good evening and an
enjoyable time. The guy who did the magic was very good and Pete's talk was excellent and again we were able to enjoy another Hog roast. I was able also to go up London with My house and show some of them why it is
a great City (Mentioning no names Matt!!) We visited Madam tusawdes and it was very good, I had been there a few times before. We went into the chamber of horrors live which had people jumping out of you as you
walked through . July also saw the start of my Driving and my first ever Tapas meal for a joint birthday meal for Ade and Tracey. The biggest downer for July was moving out of the student house and back home. A
move that I have not enjoyed since. I can not wait to move back out of home hopefully into the Kingston area.

August

Apart from loads of numerous little things going on in this month there was two major things. Firstly a camping trip with my old school Mates. We all had a great time living of disposable BBQ for the weekend. We
slept in my mates 9 man tent one night was a squash at least for everyone as it sleeps three per compartment but at a squash. I think the plan is for us to do it again in April at some point. August also saw my 21st B'day party which was spread out over three days. The day before with my family and my cousins. The actual day with my mates in Sutton and the day after with people that were around in Kingston. All three were enjoyable days in there own ways. It was a great Birthday.

September

Again loads of numerous things going on that kept me kind of busy although during this time the boredom of not having a job was setting in. Couple of things to point out was fresher's Fayre, I was able to
help at the Cornerstone stand and seeing all the new students preparing for there time at Kingston University was meet with mix feelings l knowing that I had been through what they are going to go through was good knowing that I had finished but rubbish cause I was missing being a student. I was glad that I was able to help promote the church. At the end of the month I went away with my family to an activity place in Devon. Here I played Badminton, short tennis and table tennis whilst doing stuff like shooting and archery.

October

October saw the start of my temp job. After the first few weeks the job went downhill fast!!! The church Dinner was a great way of beginning the church year with good food and good company along with a slide show of
the previous year which brought back memories. This month also saw me buying my first card Freddy the fiesta. A cool car that I can not wait to drive. My last day at Homebase also occurred at the end of the month
as after two and a half years I was able to leave due to the temp job. At the end of the month saw the Holiday club reunion taking place. This month also saw the passing away of my Uncle. A sad time for the family but we were able to rejoice knowing that he was in Heaven. October also involved the usual stuff.

November.

Nothing really to point out in this month it was filled with doing the usual stuff of driving lessons, home group, church and then socializing. However a few things to point out. I passed my theory test which enable
me to concentrate on the actual driving. Also saw the closing of the BB at my parents church it was a sad time as I had grown up in the BB and gone through the ranks. I offered to help out but there was no leader to lead it and that was the problem.

December

A few things spring to mind the bluffers guide to Christmas. Let just say I prefer the cheap stuff as I mentioned that the stuff from M and S was Cheap and did not taste good. The idea here was that we had a range of the same food from different places and had to say which one was the best. Homebase Christmas party was a good nite and was cool seeing them all again. A couple of things to do with work with the office party and a conference both quite rubbish really although the food was good at both. December also brought all the usual stuff that happens around Christmas.

Plans for 2007
* Trip to Italy (Hopefully)- Watch this space or express interest if you would like to come
* A new Job- I want to get out of this temp job as soon as possible
* Pass my Driving test- I want to drive as soon as possible
* Move back out of Home
* Then all the usual hopes......................

Hope you all didn't get to bored on reading this if you want to find out more just ask me or post me a message and I end by wishing you all a Very Happy New year.
